Dentistry provides a unique opportunity to build relationships with all ages and people from every walk of life. It’s a blessing to see patients and their families grow and mature, to see their anxieties disappear while their oral health improves, and to build real relationships with those in my care.
I enjoy getting to know my patients, personally, and learning what they’re passionate about: their families, hobbies, interests, and how they spend their days. I am a people-person and dentistry allows me time to create connections while helping others.
I especially enjoy giving someone a smile they’re proud to share, and helping people of all ages overcome any worries they might have about dental care.
Education and Experience
I have practiced dentistry for nine years. The field appealed to me as a great opportunity to work with people every day, to work with my hands, and to ultimately help people lead healthier and happier lives.
My Bachelor of Science was received in 2008 at the University of Oklahoma. Dental school came next and I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Louisville in 2012. Remaining at the university, I then completed a General Practice Residency before going into private practice.
Continual Learning and Professional Affiliations
I enjoy learning and am constantly seeking ways to further strengthen and expand my knowledge and the services I provide. By staying up-to-date on the most current research, techniques, and products, I ensure I am offering patients proven, safe, and effective dental solutions.
I am an active member of the American and Kentucky Dental Associations, and the Christian Medical & Dental Association. Through these organizations I have numerous opportunities to learn from leading researchers and practitioners, as well as my peers. Every year I complete many hours of continuing education, in both general dentistry and orthodontics, through online courses and attending lectures, seminars, and meetings.
Beyond the Practice
I grew up in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and have considered Murray to be my home for seven years, now. I love this community and the area and take advantage of every opportunity to be outside: gardening, hiking, biking, and traveling are among my favorite pastimes.
In the Community
I am actively involved with College and Women’s ministries at Hardin Baptist church and really enjoy serving high schoolers at Camp Loucon for a week every summer.
